Kelly Fong Rivas

City of Sacramento
Chief of Staff to the Mayor
Sacramento, California Area
Kelly serves as the Chief of Staff for Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg. In this role, Kelly leads a diverse staff tasked with addressing the complex issues facing the City of Sacramento and drives the Mayor’s vision for how to uplift all neighborhoods.

Prior to this role, Kelly managed Steinberg's mayoral campaign and headed up the transition team into the Mayor's office. Before joining Steinberg, she served for two and a half years as the Field Director & Deputy Press Secretary for U.S. Congressman Ami Bera, M.D., after spending four years as a Senior Policy consultant for a local political consulting firm focused on social justice and federal issues where she would deploy as a community organizer to other cities and states to drive policy issues and campaigns.

She is a founding member, former curator and current alumni member of the Sacramento Hub. She is also a founding member of the Sacramento Fem Dems, a local democratic club dedicated to inclusion, equality and diversity.

When she has a life, it is spent finding crunchy leaves to step on around town or exploring places far far far away from all the people and things that normally consume her days.
